The Toothbrush Rug Technique is a fast, fun, easy way to turn torn strips of fabric into a beautiful round or oval rug,
a placemat, a coaster, or even a chair cushion.
No sewing is required.
All fabric is laundered before you make the rug so it is machine washable, dryable and lasts for years.
The rug is reversible, so turn it over when the one side is dirty, then use the other side and then wash it.
Rugs made from 100% cotton have less raveling, are more absorbent,
has more loft and are very soft and nicer on the hands while making it.
But rugs can also be made from old clothing and sheets.
The DVD is a wonderful tool in learning how to do this technique.
Although there are step by step directions in the printed patterns, I found the DVD helped me learn the technique.
It is always nice to have the teacher available when you have a question
and Aunt Philly has answered all the questions on her DVD. |
