Smocking for Beginners
The art of smocking has re-surfaced with many new patterns and designs
to compliment the modern day fashions.
Part 1: Learn the basic smocking stitches while making a sampler. Part 2: Learn more stitches plus how to read a smocking plate, pick colours and start a project that could be used as a pillow insert or an insert on child’s garment or as a Xmas ball or a baby bonnet Part 3: Learn how to use a smocking pleater, and how to assemble your project.

Silk Ribbon Embroidery
Learn about the special tools and techniques needed for working with silk ribbon while creating a stitch sampler.
Some embroidery experience is helpful.

Sashiko Embroidery/Quilting by Hand
Learn the basics of this traditional Japanese style of decorative quilting while making
a lovely tablecenter mat,wall hanging or pillow top.
This technique is very addictive and relaxing with lots of ways to use it including garments,
quilts and home dec.
In the second class you learn how to draw your own designs in the exact size that you require.

Working with Dazzling Swarovski Crystals
and Beautiful Metals
You will learn 3 different ways to work with hot fix crystals and metals.
This is a fun workshop for the sewer or non-sewer, for the scrapbooker, for the quilter.
You name it.
The glue is acid free so can be used on many things.

Heirloom Lace Basics
This is a pre-requisite for all other heirloom classes. It is a technique class only.
Bring your machine and learn the settings needed to handle the French Sewing Techniques.
Then you will be ready to tackle those beautiful heirloom garments and projects.

Goldwork Embroidery for Beginners
Try something new--let's work with wire!
Create a heart shaped design to cover a satin box using pearl and check sadi. I
f you like embroidery or quilting, then this technique can take it to a new level.
Small satin box is not included in kit fee.

Heirloom Lace Baby T-Bonnet
Create an easy to make, gorgeous heirloom bonnet that fits for a long time,
as the size is adjustable.
This bonnet is made completely on the sewing machine using French Val Lace,
Victorian embroidery and satin ribbons.

A New Slant on Sashiko—Hitomezashi
Once you have mastered the technique used in Sashiko, take your knowledge a step farther
and learn Hitomezashi or one stitch Sashiko.
Combining the 2 together creates interesting spatial contrasts.
